How
do I implement GigPal on my web site?
If you wish, we can implement GigPal's dynamic web calendar on your
web site for you. This service is available for as little as $30 for a
single implementation. Contact GigPal.net via email at info@gigpal.net
to request our assistance.
Of
course, if you have some familiarity with building web pages, you can
easily implement GigPal Calendars on your web site yourself. Or
have your preferred web services provider do it for you. Here's how:
The
HTML code you need to implement GigPal into your web site is located
on the Event Page Layout page. Once your GigPal account is established
and you've logged in, go to the Event Page Layout page. First,
follow the instructions on the page to create a "Color Schema"
that integrates well with your web site. (Don't worry, it's easy to make
changes or adjustments if your calendars don't look just right!).
Directly below
the various color selection palettes, you'll see "PREVIEW LINKS
WITH COLOR SCHEMA". Copy the desired calendar link (using your
mouse to "Copy Link to Clipboard") and paste this URL code into
the HTML for your web site. When implementing GigPal on your web
site, using a frame often works best, though GigPal can also be
used without frames. If using a frame, implement this URL code as the
source for the frame in which you wish your web calendar to appear. If
you're not using a frame, create a link on your web site that links directly
to the URL you copied from the PREVIEW LINKS WITH COLOR SCHEMA.
Additional instructions
for creating your first Color Schema and implementing GigPal Calendars
appear on the Event Page Layout page, which becomes available
after you've logged in to your GigPal account.
For examples of
how to implement GigPal calendars into frames on your web site, check
out mikebeck.us
or stewartrocks.com.
If you have any
questions about implementing GigPal's calendars on your web site, please
feel free to email us at info@gigpal.net.

Is
GigPal available for managers and booking agents?
Right now, managers and booking agents can establish separate GigPal.net

Is
GigPal available for venues?
GigPal
is now putting the finishing touches on VenuePal, the Online Web
Calendar Management Tool designed specifically to meet the special needs
of venues. Now venues can also enjoy the ease and simplicity of updating
their web calendar from any web-connected computer without using HTML
or FTP.
And venue managers
don't have to worry about out of date information appearing on their web
site anymore, or being dependent upon outside webmasters to update their
venue's site. VenuePal is so easy, any staff member can handle the
job.
VenuePal's custom
export features allow you to quickly and easily create upcoming concert
agendas that you can publicize to newspapers, magazines and other media.
An announcement
will be appear on GigPal.net once VenuePal is commercially available.
Please email
us if you're interested in using VenuePal to manage your venue's

Is
GigPal compatible with all web browsers?
GigPal
has worked well with all web browsers we have tested, including Internet
Explorer, Netscape Communicator, Safari and AOL. However, due to flawed
programming, Macintosh users browsing with Internet Explorer v5.1 or AOL
v5.0 may not have access to some GigPal features (for example, certain
"dependent" database fields), and may experience other minor
anomalies.
We recommend that
you avoid using Internet Explorer v5.1 or AOL v5.0 on Macintosh computers
when managing your GigPal account.

suggestion or problem, paste error messages you receive, and even upload
screen shots of any "buggy" behavior you are experiencing. We
deeply value all the feedback you provide to us. We want to make GigPal.net

will feature periodic announcements as these expanded and enhanced GigPal
features become available. And please let

Wow!
GigPal is really incredible! Who should I thank for inventing GigPal
and making my life so much easier?
GigPal was conceived and designed by Mike
Beck, a professional touring musician and CEO of Big
Ugly Music & Media. In collaboration with the talented programmers
of XcapeMedia, Big Ugly developed GigPal and first implemented
GigPal's dynamically generated calendars on Mike's web site in November
2004.
